These 3 Hawks have received tuition scholarships from Chadron State College. Gabby Twarling has been accepted into the Rural Health Opportunities Program (RHOP) for Nursing. She will spend 2 years at CSC, then complete her degree at UNMC. Gage Mintken and Abigail Russell have both been accepted into the Rural Business Leadership Initiative (RBLI) at CSC. We are so proud of the 3 of you! Congratulations!

The Hay Springs eSports Fortnite team is heading to state! After winning their third round playoff match against #16 ranked Elwood, the #1 ranked Hay Springs team will be driving to Concordia University in Seward, NE to play against 7 other teams in the State Championships. The matches will take place from 7:15 PM – 10:00 PM Central Time on Friday, April 26. All of the matches will be streamed on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/nsesa and the Awards Ceremonies will be streamed as well at https://www.twitch.tv/cune_esports. Students on the team are Cade McKillip and Arian Mata.
NSESA Spring E-Sports Championships 2024 T-Shirts are available at https://nsesaspringesports24.itemorder.com/ for anyone wanting to purchase one. There is an option to have your shirt “picked up” at the event. Obviously, the eSports team can pick up shirts and bring them back to Hay Springs for those wanting to choose this method! The deadline for orders is Friday, April 19, 2024 (9:00 AM MT/10:00 AM CT).

We are excited to announce the outstanding achievement of two of our students in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State competition, where their hard work has earned them a spot at the national competition.
After preparation and competition at the state level, our FBLA team came out on top, securing their place among the top performers in the state and earning the opportunity to represent our school on the national stage.
Abigail Russell showcased her talent across multiple events, achieving successful results in each. Her skills earned her 7th place in Business Calculations, 5th place in Banking and Financial Systems, and a victorious 1st place in Agribusiness, securing her spot at Nationals.
Lillian Dorshorst achieved remarkable success by placing in the top three positions in two competitive events. Her performance secured her third place in UX Design and second place in Computer Applications. These achievements have earned her a spot to go to Nationals.
