2024 State FBLA Competition

We are excited to announce the outstanding achievement of two of our students in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State competition, where their hard work has earned them a spot at the national competition.

After preparation and competition at the state level, our FBLA team came out on top, securing their place among the top performers in the state and earning the opportunity to represent our school on the national stage.

Abigail Russell showcased her talent across multiple events, achieving successful results in each. Her skills earned her 7th place in Business Calculations, 5th place in Banking and Financial Systems, and a victorious 1st place in Agribusiness, securing her spot at Nationals.

Lillian Dorshorst achieved remarkable success by placing in the top three positions in two competitive events. Her performance secured her third place in UX Design and second place in Computer Applications. These achievements have earned her a spot to go to Nationals.

March BOOK Madness

4th graders participated in March BOOK Madness. This year the books were Past Champions vs. Newbies. Our winner was a past champion called Rescue and Jessica: A Life Changing Friendship. It was about a young lady that had both of her legs amputated and how a service dog supported her. See if you agree with us, is this the best book?

The Life and Drive of Mari Sandoz

Peg Gilbert presented “The Life and Drive of Mari Sandoz” to 4th and 5th graders. They had read “Mari Sandoz A Wild Flower” by Evelyn B Hisel earlier this year. Peg dressed as Mari and talked of the hardships and challenges of the Sandhills, as well as, Mari’s accomplishments as an author. Peg’s presentation was brought to us by Humanities Nebraska. Humanities Nebraska provides major funding for programs. Humanities Nebraska receives support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Nebraska State Legislature, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and private donations.
