On Sunday, November 21st the high school choir traveled to St Peters Lutheran Church on Mirage Flats, where they participated in an Afternoon of Music with several other performers. It was a wonderful afternoon of thanksgiving and enjoying each other’s musical talents! Thank you for the invitation (and the offering collected for our trip! We are overwhelmed with your generosity!)
Please be sure to support our One Act Play program by attending one(or more!) of the following performances! They will be performing the play “This Just In” about a radio show from the 1940s.
There will be a non-public performance for the school only on Thursday, November 18th, at 3:15 PM.
The community performance will be on Monday, November 29th at 6:30 PM. Free will donations will be accepted, but there will be no admission charge.
The competition performances, which are open to the public, will be held at the following locations and times:
Morrill – Friday, Nov. 19th @ 1:30 PM
Chappell – Wednesday, Dec. 1st @ 11:45 AM
Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict the parents meeting(Washington, DC trip) scheduled on Tuesday, November 16th has been moved to Thursday, November 18th in Mr. Bounous’ room and on Zoom. If you have any questions you can call the school or e-mail brad.bounous@hshawks.com

Three Hay Springs band students traveled to Doane University for an honor band called Fall Festival of Winds. Gabe Varvel, Sam Hindman, and Abbey Russell rehearsed all day on Saturday with a concert Saturday evening.
Hay Springs hosted the PANCO band clinic on Wednesday, November 3rd. There were almost 60 students from 4 of the PANCO schools-Hay Springs, Hemingford, Morrill and Sioux County. After a day of rehearsing, there was a concert at 3pm. It was a fun day of getting together and making beautiful music!
