In an attempt to make our Pre-Contest Concert, on Tuesday, April 21st at 7pm, a reasonable amount of time we are going to be hosting 3 smaller recitals during the school day. Students will be performing their solo or small group in the music room during their assigned performance time on their assigned performance day. These performances are open to the public, you will need to simply check in (and out when you’re leaving) at the front office prior to coming to the music room. I will also attempt to record these performances and send them to parents so they can see what their students have been working on. 2025-2026 Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Student Award Recipients

In an effort to emphasize the importance of multi-sport/multi-activity participation, the Nebraska School Activities Association and the Nebraska State Colleges launched the Nebraska State Colleges Multi-Activity Student Award program in the fall of 2020. The award recognizes students in grades 9-12 who participate in at least three NSAA sanctioned activities during the academic year.

The award is based solely on each member school’s eligibility list submitted through the NSAA website. Each high school student who meets the NSAA eligibility criteria will be recognized and  awarded a certificate of achievement by the NSAA and the Nebraska State Colleges.

The top school in each of the four Classes will be presented a banner to display in their school. The banners will be presented at halftime of the NSAA State Soccer Championships in May which is televised LIVE on NET.

Determining the Top School in Each Class

To determine the top school in each class, schools will be ranked using two criteria:
1. Total number of students qualifying as multi-activity students within the class
2. Percentage of the student population qualifying as multi-activity students within the class

Each school’s final score will be calculated by averaging its rank in both categories. The school with the lowest average rank will be named the top school in its class.

Tie-Breaker:
If two or more schools have the same average rank, the tie will be broken by awarding the higher placement to the school with the greater percentage of multi-activity students. If a tie still remains, the school with the higher total number of multi-activity students will be recognized as the top school.

On Monday, March 30th, Hay Springs High School students performed at our PANCO Music Contest held in Crawford. Hay Springs won this contest with many scores of I & II’s. Students can earn between I-V.
