As a reminder, the Hay Springs Hawks Varsity Football game against the Paxton Tigers will be live streamed this evening starting at 6:00 PM on the NFHS Network.  Please keep in mind that this is a subscription based service so if you don’t have a subscription and plan to watch, you might want to start that process a bit earlier.  Go to the following link to watch or sign-up.  You can also always click the NFHS Network logo on the right side of the hshawks.com homepage to get to the same place.

Also, please remember that NFHS Network is the ONLY live streaming platform officially endorsed by Hay Springs Public School.  If you see any comments on Facebook that are not from Hay Springs Public Schools talking about live streaming and asking you to pay, they are a SCAM.  We are doing our best to keep those comments deleted, but DO NOT click on them and give any payment information.  Unfortunately, Facebook is a cesspit of unscrupulous people who are more than willing to steal from you!

The Hay Springs eSports club is holding try-outs/sign-ups on Monday, August 29th immediately after school at 4:20 PM in the technology office. If you are interested in competing in the Fall eSports season, please make sure you attend! The games being offered in the Fall competition are: Super Smash Brothers Ultimate(1v1, up to 5 teams) and Rocket League(3v3, up to 2 teams).

Meet Location: Five Rocks Amphitheatre. Five Rocks is located at 200701 Co. Rd P on the western edge of Gering at the eastern base of Scottsbluff National Monument.

  • Jr. High Girls 3 Kilometer @ 11:00 am Unlimited Entries – Medals Awarded to top 10
  • Jr. High Boys 3 Kilometer @ 11:30 am Unlimited Entries – Medals Awarded to top 10
  • Girls JV 5 Kilometer @ 12:00 am Unlimited Entries – Medals awarded to top 10
  • Boys JV 5 Kilometer @ 12:45 pm Unlimited Entries – Medals awarded to top 10
  • Girls Varsity 5 Kilometer @ 1:30 pm Six Entries/Score Four – Medals awarded to top 10, six team champion medals (Small School and Large School Division)
  • Boys Varsity 5 Kilometer @ 2:00 pm Six Entries/Score Four Medals awarded to top 10, six team champion medals (Small School and Large School Division)
  • Top Ten individual awards will also be given for overall winners in Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity Division

Entry Fee: $80 per school ($40 per team)

Parking: Parking will be available in the Amphitheatre parking lot.

Facilities: Bathrooms will be available by the Amphitheatre.

Admission: Please let your fans know we will be charging admission of Adults: $4.00 Student: $3.00

Awards: Awards ceremony will follow the last race in the covered picnic area.

The Scottsbluff Invite/Panhandle Classic Meet will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022. We will have 4 races. Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys, 7-8 Girls, and 7-8 Boys. The varsity races will be unlimited runners.

The meet will be held at the Scottsbluff Country Club – North Highway 71. Please inform your patrons that entry to the course will be near the clubhouse. Gate Admission will be charged.

The format for the Scottsbluff Invite/Panhandle Classic for 2022 is:
3:00 PM – 9-12 Girls Division 1 (5K) (25 medals)
3:45 PM – 9-12 Boys Division 1 (5K) (25 medals)
4:15 PM – 7-8 Girls Division (10 medals)
4:45 PM – 7-8 Boys Division (10 medals)
