Hay Springs Public Schools would like to invite the community to submit a picture of a veteran that you would like to honor in the Veterans’ Day Program slideshow, which will be displayed before the program begins. Please include their name, branch, and relationship if you prefer. We have many submissions from previous years. If you have not yet submitted a picture, please do so by emailing Brad Bounous at brad.bounous@hshawks.com.

First Responders Night will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025. Hay Springs Public Schools will be honoring our First Responders Heroes before the game vs. Cody-Kilgore. All first responders will receive free admission to Friday’s game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

Fire Prevention Week

This week is Fire Prevention Week. Local Hay Springs Volunteer Firefighters Cole Wyatt and Noah Kelly presented to our elementary students. K-2 students learned about having a fire evacuation plan at home including a meeting spot as well as what to expect if a firefighter had to enter their home.

Football Parents’ Night is on October 10th during the halftime of the football game.
All underclassmen will be announced first. Parents, please line the cement wall in front of the stands. We want to prevent the athletes from climbing the stairs and getting hurt. The underclassmen will present their parents with a flower and head to the sideline. Seniors will then be announced and walk to the middle of the football field with their parents.

Senior parents, please meet your child and line up by the entrance to the tunnel. Seniors will then be announced and walk to the middle of the football field with their parents.

What an incredible showing of Hawk Spirit during our annual homecoming door decorating contest! STUCO wants to extend a huge thank you to every student for your amazing efforts. The competition for the ‘Battle For the Gold’ was fierce, but one class flew to the top. A massive congratulations to the 4th grade class for their well-deserved victory, which was a demonstration to their creativity and teamwork.
