Nebraska became a state on March 1st, 1867. Every year on this day we celebrate Nebraska’s birthday. This year the students at Hay Springs dressed up in their Husker or red gear to celebrate! The kindergarten, first and second grades got together and presented different facts about Nebraska that they had learned. The Kindergarten class presented the word Nebraska. For each letter than had an important fact about the flag or an important place in Nebraska that they presented. The first graders made posters about important people from Nebraska and fun facts. The second graders had a slideshow presentation about the state insect, tree and flower!
The Old Auditorium will be open to the public and students tomorrow at noon to show live coverage of the NSAA Wrestling Tournament. Come support Jake and all the area wrestlers! Don’t miss out on the Action!!
