Youth Volleyball Sign-Ups

 

Our youth volleyball program participates in a travelling league with teams from Chadron, Crawford, Sioux County, Hemingford, and Gordon. Alliance and Bayard are also joining us this year so hopefully this means more games overall! Teams are open for both girls and boys in grades 3-6. One team will be made from each age group, 3-4 & 5-6. Practice is set to start on March 6th, with our first game most likely being April 1st. The schedule will not be made until all teams have registered so this is merely a baseline. I will get more information out to you after I get the finalized schedule.

We will be ordering shirts for jerseys with the plan to have something designed and have kids vote on color choices during the first few practices. We will include last names and numbers on the back, which will be randomly selected to be fair. Please include how you would like your last name to appear on the back of your shirt. You have the option between just your last name, or your last name and first initial; “Marx” or “K. Marx”.

For any kids interested in participating I will need forms and participation fees turned in to myself or the office no later than Thursday, March 2, 2017. Participation fees, which cover the cost of our shirts, are $20 with any checks payable to Kerisa Marx.

Practice is not mandatory, so if you have anything scheduled it is fine to miss a couple. I would however, appreciate knowing if anyone will be gone so we aren’t waiting, or worrying about where somebody is. I would also encourage the kids to come to as many practices as possible to help them learn more about the sport.

The schedule will be as follows:

March 6th-9th: 4:00-5:00 3-4 team, 5:00-6:00 5-6 team

 

March 13th-End of Season:

Monday & Wednesday: 4:00-5:oo* 3-4 team, 6:00-7:00** 5-6 team

Tuesday & Thursday: 5:00-6:00* 3-4 team, 6:00-7:00 5-6 team

* Due to 6th graders being eligible to participate in track 5th graders can come to early practice if it works better for your schedules, just let me know

** Since Wednesday is Church Night if this time is a conflict I can remove practice ☺

LIABILITY RELEASE FORM

 

We the undersigned parents or guardians of __________________________________, a minor, grant permission for them to participate in the Hay Springs 2017 Youth Volleyball program and acknowledge the fact that they are physically able to participate in related activities. The parent or guardian assumes responsibility for any and all personal injuries (including death) and property losses or damage occasioned by the athlete. The athlete in further agrees to abide by all the rules and regulations set forth by Kerisa Marx, or be subject to dismissal from practices or events. The signature of the parent or guardian relieves Kerisa Marx and the Hay Springs Youth Volleyball Program of any and all liability.
