Personal Finance Challenge

Several students from HSPS participated in the annual Personal Finance Challenge, where they tackled multiple-choice rapid-fire questions within a 30-minute time frame. Our team, Hawks24, achieved an impressive ranking of number 3 in the Western Nebraska region and number 7 overall. Out of 288 teams in the High School division, including 98 in Lincoln, 91 in Omaha, and 99 in Western Nebraska, our performance stood out.

This achievement has earned our students advancement to the regional competition in Kearney on April 5th.

Members of the team include Jordyn Anderson, Gage Mintken, Hunter McDonald, and Mason Marcy.

3rd Quarter Assembly

The third quarter of the 2023-2024 school year officially ended on Thursday, March 7th. Of course that means itโ€™s time for HSPS to celebrate! On Wednesday, March 13, students PK-12 were released to the auditorium where without talking, they needed to put themselves in birth date order with the other students from all grades. After that, things proceeded with the Honor Roll, Staff Shout-outs, announcement of the Middle Level and High School Super Pass recipients, and finally the presentation of the Student of the Quarter. Congratulations Alexa Tonjes!

PreK St. Patrick’s Day

The morning and afternoon preschool class has been learning about leprechauns (and how to trap them) in order to prepare for St. Patrick’s Day! They have worked so hard both individually and as a group to brainstorm and design the perfect leprechaun trap! Hopefully we find a little leprechaun at the end of our preschool rainbow on Monday with gold coins and good luck for all of us! ๐Ÿ€
