On October 24, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., a meeting conducted by Sheridan County School District #3 will take place in the Hawks Nest at Hay Springs High School. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend nonpublic schools and home schools which are within the Sheridan County District #3 for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents of a home-schooled child identified with a disability and attending a nonpublic school within the boundaries of Sheridan County School District #3, are urged to attend. On Wednesday, October 18, Hay Springs Public Schools celebrated Unity Day and wore the color orange to show support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.  In addition to that, students participated in making an orange paper chain that was hung in the cafeteria.

4th Grade AR Winners

These four were the winners of the AR 4th grade reading pool. For every point students read, they put there name on the pool board. When we had 100 names, the drawing commenced. Huge shout out to the community member who donated these Sackers gift certificates through the Tree of Love.  Congratulations Wylie, Elijah, Darius, and Ariah!

Western Community Health out of Chadron is teaming up with Hay Springs Schools for a Community Immunization Clinic on Oct 20th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Lobby of Lister. Flu and Covid vaccinations will also be available during this time. Come take advantage of this!
