Track season is right around the corner! BASKETBALL PLAYERS WILL BE ABLE TO FINISH THEIR SEASON AND HAVE A FEW DAYS OFF BEFORE EXPECTED TO START TRACK PRACTICE. I WILL GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM AFTER BASKETBALL IS OVER. If you are planning on going out for track and are not out for basketball your start date will be February 27th. From February 27th – March 2nd we will stay in Hay Springs for practice. From then on we will do the same as last year and practice in Hay Springs on Monday and Wednesday, and go to Chadron on Tuesday and Thursday. Please be prepared to practice inside and outside so wear layers to be comfortable in both situations. JUNIOR HIGH WILL START PRACTICE ON MARCH 13.

It was a long trip down to Burke but it was worth it to watch these four boys compete. Dylan and Gage ran in the 110 Hurdles. Dusty ran in the 3200 meter. Wes in the 1600. Wes took home a 4th place medal! They all ran hard and made us proud.

Since there is wind in the forecast for Thursday’s District Track Meet, the start time of the running events has been moved up to 11:20-ish rather than 12:00.  The wind is supposed to pick up in the afternoon a lot worse.

Valentine Jr High/Sr High order of events. Leave time is at 6 a.m. sharp. Kids will be left if they are late.

JH Track Meet @ Morrill for tomorrow, 5/3 will be starting earlier. New start time is field events at 11 am, Running events will start at 12:30 pm

Due to multiple requests we are reopening the track store. It will be open until Thursday, April 28th. I can not guarantee you will get the clothing before track is over. I will say I am very happy with the quality of the clothing that came in. The windsuit and sweats would be good for next season to have while it is cold. I also have some jackets for athletes to try on if you are interested in getting them a jacket.
