The Hawk Speech Team had a big day out on Wednesday, February 13th. We actually competed in two separate speech meets at the same time, you will see results from two meets that ran consecutively, the small schools meet (where all schools attending, they ran 2 conference meets at the same time, competed against each other) and then the PANCO conference results. These students have been working extremely hard (and have more hard work to do in the weeks ahead!) Please congratulate them in all their efforts.

Small schools meet results:
Jaelyn Rasmussen – 4th place
Jacob Dorshorst – 3rd place
Lilly Dorshorst – 4th place entertainment
Bailey Hankins & Emma Albrecht – 2nd place
Aubry Anderson – 5th POI (program of oral interpretation)
OID (oral interpretation of drama) – 2nd place (Jaelyn Rasmussen, Jacob Dorshorst, Bailey Hankins & Emma Albrecht)

PANCO conference results:
Jaelyn Rasmussen – 1st place in informative
Jacob Dorshorst – 1st place in humorous
Lilly Dorshorst – 1st place in entertainment
Bailey Hankins & Emma Albrecht – 1st place in duet acting
Adeline Fredrickson – 3rd place in serious prose; 3rd place in entertainment
Aubry Anderson – 2nd place in POI (program of oral interpretation); 4th place in serious
OID (oral interpretation of drama) – 1st place (Jaelyn Rasmussen, Jacob Dorshorst, Bailey Hankins & Emma Albrecht)
Team award – PANCO Runner-up

The Hawk Speech Team has a few weeks off of competition and will pick up on March 1st at Gering; March 8th at Mitchell; March 16-Speech Showcase (open to the public) @ 3pm in the cafeteria; March 17th-Districts @ Sidney.
