Hay Springs Public Schools has an immediate, temporary assistant cook position through approximately January 30, 2025. Hourly pay starts at $15.00 with consideration for kitchen experience. Hay Springs Public Schools will be dismissing all students, K-12 at 12:05 p.m. on November, 26th. We will be serving lunch to our elementary students in the cafeteria, and the 6th through 12 grade students will have a grab and go lunch option. All teachers will be attending the data retreat that afternoon at the school.
Preschool will not meet on November 26th.
The reason for this change is that the school district had scheduled a data retreat with all teachers in October and that retreat has been rescheduled twice due to scheduling issues and illness within the school.
We apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause. I hope this early release will allow some families to be able to start travel plans for the Thanksgiving Holiday a little earlier.

November 14 is World Diabetes Day. Each year this day is used to raise awareness about diabetes and the impact it has on people’s health as well as advocate for improved diabetes prevention, diagnosis, and care for those who have it.

Volleyball Parent’s Night is October 22nd before the warmup starts.
All underclassmen will be announced, they will present their parents with a flower and then head back to their bench or where their coach designates them. Seniors will be announced last and walk into the court’s middle with their parents.
Football Parent’s Night is on October 25th at half-time during the football game.
All underclassmen will be announced first. Parents, please line the cement wall in front of the stands. We want to prevent the athletes from climbing the stairs and getting hurt. The underclassmen will present their parents with a flower and head to the sideline. Seniors will then be announced and walk to the middle of the football field with their parents.
The Americanism Committee would like to invite all Veterans or families of veterans to submit a picture of themselves or a loved one they would like to honor.
