The fourth grade class has been working very hard on writing all this year. Normally we are focused on Narrative writing as that is what our state test will be on this year. Recently though we read a story called Cendrillon in our Reading text book. It is a Cinderella type story. We decided to write our very own Cinderella or Cinderfella fairy tales and share them with other classrooms. The 4th graders wrote stories, edited them, then made them into books which they then illustrated. We would like to thank the students and teachers that allowed us to come into their rooms and share our stories.
Flag Parent’s Night will be half time of the Boys Varsity basketball game vs. Banner County on Friday, 1/10.
Banner County does not have enough girls to play a JV game, so we will be beginning with boys JV at 5:00 pm. Parents night for both boys and girls will be before the girls varsity game, please be there at 5:30 pm. Thank you!
Any questions please call the school, 638-4434.
Just before break the HSPS staff participated in an ugly sweater contest. There was everything from a sweater with a leopard print poinsettia to a shirt that had been partially eaten by a rodent. The students voted and second place went to Ms. Sammy Vickers-Meeks for her mouse-chewed sweater. First place honors went to Mrs. Twila Weyers for her crazy loud reindeer sweater. Mrs. Weyers is looking forward to defending her title next year and said that she will be campaigning for the win much earlier than this year.
Morrill called and would like to start games (Tuesday, 12/17) earlier because they have school the next day. The games will start at 3:30 pm with JV Girls starting out first. Both JV teams will only be playing 2 quarters each. Thank you and hope to see you there!
