Duet Acting

Congratulations to Abigail Nelson and Brooke Winter who placed 6th in duet acting at the Gordon-Rushville speech meet held on Saturday, February 11th. The Hawk speech team will compete in Hemingford at the PANCO speech meet on Saturday, February 18th.

District Speech Results

Congratulations to the Hay Springs Speech Team who competed at district speech on Friday, March 4th at Crawford High Cchool.

Speech Results

The Hay Springs Speech Team had a huge weekend! We competed in Hemingford at 2 meets-the Small Schools meet and the PANCO speech meet. The meets ran at the same time, with the PANCO meet wrapping up with the preliminary rounds. Hay Springs tied with the Sioux County speech team for the PANCO speech champion. However, Hay Springs ended up winning the Small School meet! The following are the results for the day. First listed are the PANCO meet results, followed by the Small Schools meet results.

Gering Speech Meet

Congratulations to the two Oral Interpretations of Drama (OID) teams who placed in the championship finals in Gering on Saturday, February 12th:

Hay springs as a team placed 7th out of 14 teams.

They will travel to Hemingford for PANCO speech on Saturday, February 19th and then to districts in Crawford on Friday, March 4th.

Gordon-Rushville Speech Meet

Congratulations to the Hay Springs Speech Team who attended the Gordon-Rushville speech meet on Saturday, January 29th. The Oral Intrepretation of Drama (OID) consisting on Gabriel Varvel, Sam Hindman, Kaden Langford and Jaelyn Rasmussen placed 6th. The OID of Emily Nelson, Taden Tobiasson, Ashley Tobiasson, Logan DeCoste and Abbey Russell placed 5th. Abigail Russell also placed 6th in persuasive speaking. The team will compete on Saturday, February 12th at the Gering speech meet.

District Speech

Congratulations to the Hawk speech team who competed at district speech held on Monday, March 1 at South Platte School in Big Springs.
