Information
There have been multiple false reports of school shootings around schools in Nebraska. HSPS has not received any reports as of now. We will follow our safety procedures and protocols. Administration is meeting with staff right now. Any questions please don’t hesitate to call the school at 638-4434.
100th Day Celebrations
On the 100th day of school, 4th grade and 2nd grade engineered paper airplanes and were challenged to fly them 100 inches. Many of their planes were successful.

Track Clothing Store
Just a reminder the Track Clothing store will close on March 8th at midnight. This is where your athletes can get cold weather gear that is great for keeping them warm on those cold track days. This is not a fundraiser no money is being made off of this sale.

Elementary Dress-up Days
In celebration of 100 days of school, the elementary is doing dress-up days this week! Here is the schedule:
D2-3 Boys District Final
Monday, February 27th, 2023
What: D2-3 Boys District Final
When: 6:00 PM CT / 5:00 PM MT, doors open at 5:00 PM CT / 4:00 PM MT
Where: Ainsworth High School, McAndrew Gymnasium
Admission: $6.00 Adults, $5.00 Students
Teams: Wynot (#3) vs. Hay Springs (#14)

FFA Week
For the students of Hay Springs Schools, the FFA Officers planned out a dress up day contest for this week. This contest will include the whole school, but the elementary and middle/high school will be judged separately. On the following Monday, the 27th, the winning class will be named and a prize will be given to each member of that class.
The dress up days consist of:
Monday – ‘Merica Day
Tuesday – Official Dress/Blue and Gold Day
Unfortunately, due to a winter storm, the last two dress-up days didn’t take place.
Wednesday – Denim Day
Thursday – Dress to Un-impress
