What to Do If You’re Sick with Flu

Most people sick with flu have mild illness and do not need medical care or antiviral drugs. If you get sick with flu symptoms, in most cases, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people except to get medical care. Walking In Circles

Need your steps?  Come join the elementary at recess time for the 100 lap club.  You can now see students walking around the Lister parking lot striving to reach the goal of 100 laps.  Come rain or shine, they have been working hard to enter this exclusive club!

 

Nebraska Personal Finance Challenge

Hay Springs High School business students participated in the Fall 2018 Nebraska Personal Finance Challenge in November. Their team was ranked number 2 in the High School Division. There were 37 teams in the Middle School division and 439 teams in the High School division!

Prize money will be sent via FedEx to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams of both divisions.

First Place team members receive $30
Second Place team members receive $20
Third Place team members receive $10

During the competition, students enter the Finance Challenge ONLINE website and complete a 30-question, rapid-fire exam consisting of categories on Earning Income, Buying Goods and Services, Saving, Using Credit, Financial Investing, and Protecting and Insuring. Each student is given a 35 minute time limit.

6-8th grade will be selling starting December 3rd through Tuesday, December 18th.
You will have the option of:
2 canes for $1, this means you are sending 2 candy canes to one person.

Candy canes will also be sold individually for anyone wanting a quick treat for themselves(not to be sent) after school. 1 cane for .50$
