STATE BOUND!
There’s nothing quite like a Hawk send-off!
This morning, our entire school came together to celebrate Grant Wellnitz as he heads to Kearney to compete at the Nebraska State Cross Country Championships!
From our littlest Hawks in PK all the way through our seniors, students and staff lined the hallways to cheer Grant and his coach, Matt Albrecht, on and wish them luck before they hit the road. The smiles, high-fives, cheers, and Hawk pride made for a pretty special morning!
Grant earned his trip to State with a 13th-place finish at Districts, and tomorrow he’ll represent Hay Springs on the state course in Kearney!
We are so proud of you, Grant! Run hard, enjoy every second, and know that an entire school and community are cheering you on!
GOOD LUCK AT STATE GRANT AND COACH MATT!
GO HAWKS!
