Braxton Spicer will represent Hay Springs at the Nebraska Championship Meet on Saturday, May 16 in Gothenburg. He has qualified in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and Long Jump. Information about the meet, schedule, how to watch, and apparel are all included in the link to the website.
4th graders enjoyed a morning of learning and hiking at Chimney Rock and an afternoon of feeding and enjoying animals at the Riverside Zoo.
Kindergarten and First Grade attended Ag Safety Day in Gordon along with Kindergarten and First Graders from Rushville and Gordon. Attendees learned Tractor, Farm Equipment, Grain, Water, Sun, Animal, Roadway, and First Aid Safety. We want to thank the Gordon and Hay Springs FFA Students for running the stations. We also are so grateful to Ms. Melissa and Ms. Tessa with the UNL Extension Office for coordinating and organizing this event. We learned a lot, are ready to make safe choices, and teach others about being safe! We are so PROUD of our Hay Springs students big and small!
