On Saturday April 8, Mrs. H. took 3 special ladies to the Special Olympics track meet in Chadron. They volunteered their day in a very special way. They got lots of hugs and had a great time!
Deadline for Community Members/Businesses to sign up for the “Give Back to the Community Day” is today April 10th at 4:00 pm.
Looking for Community Members/Businesses needing Help!
In appreciation for the support of our community, the 6th-12th grade students at HSPS would like to “give back” to Hay Springs. We are seeking businesses, groups, organizations, and even the elderly who are in need of help. Teacher supervised groups of students are willing to wash windows, stock shelves, clean shops, rake lawns, and paint walls. We are willing to assist in any way needed.
Our “Give back to the Community Day” is scheduled for April 12th, 2017, from 1:oo pm – 4:00 pm. In the event of inclement weather, April 26th, will be the alternate date. If you would like to be added to our list or have any questions, please call the school office at 308-638-4434.

The Bayard Invitational Junior High Track and Field Meet has been rescheduled for tomorrow, April 5 as a finals only meet and no double relays. Start time is 9 am.
JH Track meet for tomorrow, 4/4 has been postponed due to weather forecast, a later date will be announced.
High School track meet in Bayard has been canceled for tomorrow 4/1/17, due to weather.
Team B – Jesse Badje, Ashley Burrows, Hunter Letcher, and Jake Roberts tied for 2nd with 570.
The Middle School team (Joce Varvel, Bailey Scherbarth, Hannah Wohl, Spencer Kadlecek, Gabe Varvel, Logan Decoste, Sam Hindman, Jazzy Smith, Laney Smith, and Ashley Tobisson) finished with a 2-2 record tied with Sioux Co, however dropped to third on the total points tie breaker.
