The Hay Springs High School One Act team performed at the Panhandle Conference competition in Hemingford on November 20. The team placed 2nd. Hay Springs received the award for 1st place technical crew. Jacob Dorshorst was recognized as 1 of 2 overall outstanding actors. Jacob Dorshorst, Tanner Tobiasson, and Adeline Fredrickson were recognized as all-conference performers. The team will compete at districts in Ansley on December 3 and will perform for the public on December 5 at 6 pm in the auditorium.

On Monday, December 2 the Hay Springs High School One Act team participated in district competition at Leyton High School. The cast and crew performed “Everything is Going to Turn Out Fine” and received 2nd place out of 6 performing teams. Individual outstanding performance awards were presented to: Lilly Dorshorst, Jaelyn Rasmussen, Tanner Tobiasson, Adeline Fredrickson, and Jacob Dorshorst. The team also earned runner-up honors for Best Technical Crew. It has been an awesome season, but it’s not over yet!

The team has one more public performance planned for Friday, December 13 at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. This is a family-friendly show. No admission is charged, but free will donations are welcome and used to defray costs of production. See you at the show!

The Hay Springs High School One Act team traveled to Hyannis on Thursday, November 21 for the Panhandle Conference competition. HSH cast and crew earned 2nd place out of 7 teams. Outstanding accomplishment certificates were awarded to Larry Nelson, Jacob Dorshorst, Jaelyn Rasmussen, Lilly Dorshorst, Adeline Fredrickson, and Tanner Tobiasson. The 2024 Panhandle Conference Overall Outstanding Actress is Lilly Dorshorst!

The team is looking forward to performing for the Hay Springs Elementary students in preparation for District competition on Monday, December 2 at Leyton High School in Dalton, NE.
