Veteran’s Day Program Rescheduled
The Veteran’s Day program has been rescheduled for Monday, November 13 at 3 PM due to the many staff and students traveling to the state playoff game.

Nonpublic Hearing
On October 24, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., a meeting conducted by Sheridan County School District #3 will take place in the Hawks Nest at Hay Springs High School. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend nonpublic schools and home schools which are within the Sheridan County District #3 for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents of a home-schooled child identified with a disability and attending a nonpublic school within the boundaries of Sheridan County School District #3, are urged to attend. Vaccination Clinic
Western Community Health out of Chadron is teaming up with Hay Springs Schools for a Community Immunization Clinic on Oct 20th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Lobby of Lister. Flu and Covid vaccinations will also be available during this time. Come take advantage of this!

Homecoming Pep Rally 2023
Following the Coronation on Tuesday afternoon, the Homecoming Pep Rally was held on the football field. The event, which featured speeches by coaches and team members, class cheers, musical chairs, “minute to win it” games, and the ever popular Hawk Dance was well attended by students, staff, parents, and community members. Bus Wrap Contest
Hay Springs schools is holding an art contest! Our district has purchased an activity coach bus for our students and we want to wrap the bus in Hawk colors and our logo! We are looking for great ideas for our wrap! Wrap designs can include artwork on the side windows!
The winner will receive $100.00 in Chamber Bucks. Please submit your bus wrap ideas to the Hay Springs school office by noon on August 28th. The contest is open to all students, staff and Hay Springs community members. Let’s have fun and be creative! If you have any questions, please contact Superintendent George Clear at 308-638-4434.
