The Hay Springs eSports team is heading to Concordia University in Seward, NE to participate in state finals. Our matches will take place beginning at 8:00 AM MT on Friday, April 28th, 2023. The team has qualified for state in all three seasons this year, Fall, Winter, and now Spring! Elementary HAL students recently worked on making complete circuits with batteries, so they wanted to test making circuits with citrus fruit. Although everything was hooked up correctly, we just couldn’t get the bulb to light up. We learned that sometimes science doesn’t always work they way we think it will. They wrapped up the hour playing chess, checkers, and brain teasers.

On May 8, 2023 at 3:30 PM., a meeting conducted by Sheridan County School District #3 will take place in the Hawks Nest at Hay Springs High School. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend nonpublic schools and home schools which are within the Sheridan County District #3 for the 2023-2024 school year. Parents of a home-schooled child identified with a disability and attending a nonpublic school within the boundaries of Sheridan County School District #3, are urged to attend. This meeting will be followed by the Title VI parent meeting at 4:00 PM. If you have further questions pertaining to this meeting, please contact the office at (308) 638-4434.
