On Wednesday, Oct. 23, our senior class participated in Apply2College. All 11 students applied at UNL, UNK, UNO, and NCTA and then applied at numerous colleges of their choice. These colleges ranged from Southeast Community College to Escoffier to state colleges and universities.
After we worked on college applications all morning, we went to the Outlaw Saloon to enjoy lunch provided by funds from the College Access Grant that our administration secured over the summer for $10,000 over the next four years. These funds will allow us to take students on college tours, feed students and parents when preparing for college or tech schools, and help our students get to where they are headed. Whether that is to the workforce or gaining a certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree.
A huge thank you to the Outlaw Saloon for hosting us, the students for diligently working on their applications, and our administration for securing these funds so we can have some extra perks of getting things moving for our students’ futures!
We have outstanding students here at Hay Springs, and we look forward to seeing where they go!
