Description: Create your own fabric design as a part of the new STEAM Clothing project Beyond the Needle. You will design your own digital fabric and have the opportunity to print your yardage on Spoonflower, Ins.

Project for Fair: C Div. 221 Class 4

Electrify your Summer

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 9 am to 3 pm

Fee $10 Ages: 8 and up

Instructor: Melissa Mracek

Location: Hay Springs Schools

Description: Play with electricity while learning about Circuits. You will create your own LED bracelet, design and build your own lamp, build a compass and create a dough creature that lights up!

Project for Fair: C Div. 257 Class 12 and C Div. 221 Class 7.

Coordinated Approach To Child Health Workshop

Wednesday, June 14, 2017 9 am to 3 pm

Fee: $5 Ages: 8 and up

Instructor: Leah Gremm

Location: Hay Springs School

Description: You will learn about healthy snack options, fun physical activities, and create snacks for yourself. CATCH is proven to prevent childhood obesity and supported by 25 years and 120 academic papers indicating as much as 11% decrease in overweight and obesity.

Projects for Fair: E Div. 401 Class 3.

Up, Up, & Away

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 9 am to 3 pm

Fee: $5 Ages: 8 and up

Instructors: Melissa Mracek

Location: Hay Springs School

Description: Learn about flight principles and design. Create and launch your own rocket!

Project for Fair: H Div. 849 Class 1
