DISTRICT D-4 WRESTLING TOURNAMENT AT SUTHERLAND HIGH SCHOOL, FEB. 10-11TH- SCHEDULE
Friday, February 10th ● 12:15 PM- Scales open. Please do not arrive before 12:00 PM CST ● 12:30 PM- Seeding meeting in the library conducted by Mike Kvanvig ● 1:00 PM- Weigh-ins in accordance with NSAA rules ● 3:00 PM- First Round ● 4:30 PM- Championship Quarterfinal and Consolation First Round ● 6:30 PM- Consolation Second Round
Saturday, February 11th ● 8:00 AM- Scales open ● 8:30 AM- Weigh-ins in accordance with NSAA rules ● 10:00 AM- Championship Semi-Finals and Consolation Quarterfinals ● 12:30 PM- Break for lunch (30 minutes) ● 1:00 PM- Consolation Semi-Finals ● 2:45 PM- Parade of Champions ● 3:00 PM- Championship and Consolation Finals * All times are approximate. We will run the meet as quickly as possible and only take the necessary breaks.

Hawk Wrestling at Garden County
Hawk Wrestling at Garden County
On January 10th the Hawk Wrestling Team travelled to Garden County. The team went down with four wrestlers and came back with 3 placers. Senior twins Chris and Levi Ray won their brackets, Junior Jake Johnson placed fourth. The team ended up fifth overall. Senior Levi Ray said “We need to keep this momentum going into the district and state tournament.”

Hawk Wrestling at Mullen
Last Saturday, January 24th, the Hawk Wrestling Team traveled to Mullen. The team left with four wrestlers and came home with three placers. Senior twins Levi and Chris Ray both placed first. Junior Jake Johnson placed second and Sophomore Nathan Tobiasson did not place. The team ended the tournament in sixth place. Junior Jake Johnson commented “ We all did pretty well; I just hope we can keep it up for districts.”

On January third the hawk wrestling team traveled to Newman Grove. The hawks had an exciting day of wrestling. Senior Levi Ray ended the day with a first place medal. Senior Chris Ray placed second, and junior Jake Johnson placed 2nd. Sophomore Nathan Tobiason did not place. Chris Ray commented “ We had a great day and hopefully we will have more.”
Wrestlers Off to State
The wrestlers were sent off by students, parents, and community with the help of the fire department. Good Luck at state guys!

State Wrestling Pep Rally and Send Off for State Wrestling Qualifiers
The State Wrestling Pep Rally will happen today at 1pm in the Old Auditorium. Send off with the Fire Department will happen tomorrow morning, Wednesday February 19th if front of the highschool at 8am. Come out and support Stevin, Joey, Chris and Levi!
District D4 Wrestling Tournament, McGahan Activities Center, North Platte Saint Pat’s, Friday and Saturday, February 14th and 15th
Friday, February 14th – Practice at 7 am, leave Hay Springs after practice.

- 3:00 pm – Weigh-ins
- 5:00 – 8:00 pm CST – First Round – Quarterfinals and Wrestle backs.
Saturday, February 15th
- 7:30 am – Scales Open
- 8:00 am – Weigh-ins
- 9:30 – 12:30 – Semi-finals and 2 rounds of wrestle backs.
- 12:30 – 1:30 – Break for lunch
- 1:30 – Finals

Hemingford Wrestling Dual
The Hemingford wrestling dual scheduled for tonight has been postponed to January 31st at 7:00 p.m. due to illness and injury for both the Hawks and the Bobcats.
