Summer Food Service Program

Just to clarify, the Summer Food Service Program will continue through the school year.  Breakfast and lunch will continue to be free of charge to any student 18 or younger.

Please check your accounts as seconds are not free and some accounts are outstanding and payments need applied to students to continue to get seconds and extra milk.

Thank you,
Jen Young

Summer Food Program

We will be starting our Summer Food Service (SFSP) early this year! This year will be a little different than years past considering our current situation with COVID-19. This program will begin Tuesday, March 31st and conclude Tuesday May 19th. If school is able to resume normal operations the program will end at that point. Meals will be To-Go. You will pick up a week (4 Days) worth on the day that is scheduled to pick up and return school assignments. Breakfast and Lunch will be included in the weekly meal package. Specific preparation and storage instructions will be included and we encourage you to pay close attention to the instructions to ensure food safety.  Also, you will need to bring your own box our bag to haul it home in. This is a free meal service for any child 1-18 years of age. To sign up, please contact Jen Young directly via cell phone @1-308-430-2562 or email jen.young@hshawks.com The deadline to sign up for this service is Thursday March 26th 2020. Jen will also reach out to as many families as she can by phone. Thank you and stay healthy!

Cafeteria News

We have gone through our lunch applications and have found that several families have not yet filled out the application. We just wanted to bring it to your attention how important it is for our school district to get these filled out. If you feel that you may not qualify for free or reduced lunches, you should still take a few minutes and fill out the application because you may be surprised. Also, if you have experienced a life change you can fill out a new application at any time to be determined if you would now qualify for any help. It not only affects whether your child/children will get free or reduced lunches but it also determines the percent of poverty we have in our community. All kinds of grants and funds are determined by these numbers so please take the time and get the application filled out. Thank you for your cooperation in this!
