Hay Springs sent 4 high school athletes and 2 junior high athletes to the Best of the West track meet in Scottsbluff on April 26th.
Our junior high kids were Dylan Young and Dylan Raymer. Dylan Raymer finished 5th in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.73 and 2nd in the 200 meter hurdles with a time of 30.09. Dylan Young finished 6th in the 200 meter hurdles with a time of 31.46.
Our high school kids were Chaz Twarling, Gabby Twarling, Mia Skinner, and Wes Jacobs. Chaz Twarling competed in the long jump and finished 8th with a jump of 18-10.50. Gabby Twarling competed in the 800 and finished 9th with a personal record time of 2:39.61. Mia Skinner competed in the 200 and finished 7th with a time of 28.88; 400 meter run with a personal record time of 1:01.39. Wes Jacobs competed in the 3200 meter run and finished 9th with a time of 11:46.88.
