Tanner Tobiasson traveled to Mindland University in Fremont, NE on Saturday, November 22 to compete in the NSeSA eSports State Finals. Tanner was unfortunately defeated in his first match, but worked his way back up the consolation bracket to finally take 4th place out of the 16 “Super Smash Brothers Ultimate” players who were competing at the state level! He did not give up the third place spot easily and made his opponent work hard for the win. Tanner, along with Larry Nelson, Jacob Dorshorst, Dutch Weaver, and William Gaswick were all members of the Fall 2025 Hay Springs eSports team. All are looking forward to the Spring 2026 season which begins the first week of February and brings new games in which they will compete. Congratulations Tanner!
