The fifth grade class is participating in the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) program. This is a hands-on educational program in which students:
- raise trout from eggs to fry
- monitor tank water quality
- engage in stream habitat study
- learn to appreciate water resources
- begin to foster a conservation ethic
- grow to understand ecosystems
We received our trout eggs on January 17th and have enjoyed watching them grow and change from eggs to alevin and to fry.
