No More Green Slips

The Hay Springs School is no longer requiring the green activity slips this year. Any students who leave for a school related activity are responsible for getting all their work together and turning it in on time. Assignments are due the very next day the students return to class.

Hawks vs. Moguls

Won’t be beat! Last Friday, September 9 the Hay Springs High School football team played their second game of the season. It was a home game played at seven o’clock p.m . The Hawks faced off against the Edgemont Moguls and were triumphant in winning 40 to 20. It was a great victory for the Hay Springs Hawks and a real boost for the team.

A Perfect Start

AWW TEAM! The Hay Springs Lady Hawks played their first game during the triangular on Tuesday, September 6. They played against Banner County in the first game and then the third game they faced off against Hemingford. The Lady Hawks came out on top in two games against Banner County winning 25-14 and 25-19. They also came out on top against Hemingford winning 25-22 and 25-23. The ladies have officially started off their season with a perfect 2-0 record.

After the game head Coach Lisa Hughes was asked how she thought the game went. She responded with, “I was happy with how the first two games went. We found out where our weak areas are and we will concentrate on those in the next several practices. Great start!”

She was also asked what her goals for the season are and she said, “I would love to see us win a sub-district and district title as well as our fifth conference title, but to do that we will need to work hard in practices. We need to improve every game and have fun.”
